Kevin Brooks A lifelong Missouri resident, Kevin D. Brooks joined the firm in 2005. Since then, Kevin has concentrated his practice in the areas of insurance defense, product liability defense, governmental entity defense, and personal injury defense.

Kevin authored "HIPAA Regulation of Ex Parte Interviews with Plaintiffs' Treating Physicians: More Questions than Answers...", published in the Missouri Organization of Defense Lawyers Winter 2006 Newsletter, and spoke on a CLE panel on the same issue at the 2006 MODL annual meeting. He also co-authored the 2006 Defense Research Institute Missouri Products Liability Update and the "Chapter 13: Lack of Reliable Foundation" of DRI's Compendium on Admissibility of Expert Testimony. He is an active member in the Defense Research Institute and the Missouri Organization of Defense Lawyers. Additionally, Kevin serves as an adjunct professor of Trial Advocacy I at the University of Missouri - Kansas City, School of Law.

Kevin's experiences prior to the firm are an asset to his current practice. After graduating with a Bachelor of Journalism degree in the New Editorial sequence of the University of Missouri-Columbia, he was a copy editor at a newspaper. Then, at UMKC School of Law, Kevin was on the Dean's List and received CALI awards for the highest grades in Evidence and Criminal Procedure. Upon his graduation in 2005, he served as law clerk for the Honorable Sandra C. Midkiff in the 16th Judicial Circuit of Missouri. Kevin is licensed to practice in the state and federal courts of Missouri.
